Our Mission
Empowered Health Care seeks first to do no harm and at the same time provide and offer alternative treatments that empower the patient to move toward health and wellness and away from lifestyle choices that tend to create and perpetuate illness.
Core Values
Our “Why”
In the last 6 years, numerous pain clinics in Colorado Springs and throughout Colorado and the United States have gone out of business or been put out of business by regulatory agencies. At the same time, primary care providers who care for the patients of these clinics are shying away from treating or caring for patients who have chronic pain and complicated metabolic syndromes that impact pain such as obesity and diabetes. The lawsuits against pharmaceutical companies and pharmacies arising out of the opiate crisis have created a hostile environment for pain management providers, pharmacies, and patients. Patients are suffering as a result. Insurance companies create a conflict in restricting access to treatments which research has repeatedly proven to be effective and low risk for treating chronic pain as well as treatment of metabolic syndromes. While nutrition and lifestyle treatments are available, these take time and coaching which insurance companies will not finance. Consequently, we have a generation of individuals who rely on pills for every problem, a medical system that has created and continues to promote this phenomenon, an insurance system that insists on it, and a pharmaceutical industry that markets it well.
Empowered Health Care was established to offer an approach to healthcare that is evidence-based and focused on returning individuals to a state of optimal health that supports our own natural ability to heal and be well.
